I got so wrapped up covering my sister’s wedding that I completely forgot to post a blog about her lovely engagement session. These photos were shot this past October in a stellar pumpkin patch in Chesterfield, NJ. Maria had only one demand. She didn’t want her photos to look anything like her sister’s engagement photos. That wasn’t too difficult, as Rita’s photos made on a bright sunny Spring day. On the morning of Maria and Nick’s shoot, the sun was nowhere to be found. We ran away from the rain for hours and finally got a solid hour to play with in the dark, moody dusk. Maria didn’t mind the weather at all. Her an Nick ran around the park choosing pumpkins and making each other smile for as long as we could stand the drizzle. This was a perfect example of how to make beautiful portraits when the weather isn’t cooperating.
