There are few better ways to spend a sunny afternoon than with a really cool couple aimlessly roaming around the quaint streets of Dobbs Ferry, New York. I want to write about how romantic the day was was, but David’s spitfire sense of humor and personality ensured that we spent more time laughing, but the smiles he sparked on his future bride’s face were more than worth the comedic relief. I always say that it doesn’t matter what the backdrop to your engagement session looks like, as long as couple is truly in love, I could be shooting at a garbage dump and we would make stunning images. In this case, I had both work the location and the couple working for me, which is is bonus points for a photo nerd like me.

We meandered around the back streets of Dobbs Ferry for a an hour or so, before making our way to a hidden waterfront beach that looks almost like a secluded island. As silly as we looked, crawling over logs and dancing around puddles to get to this secret beach, it was worth it in the end, as we created some of the most beautiful images from the shoot. Here are some of my favorite photos from that lovely afternoon.
